This fenced reserve of about 26 000 hectares is home to two of the most stylish and innovative lodges in South Africa – Garonga and Makalali. With just these two lodges operating in the conservancy, game viewing here is a wonderfully uncrowded affair with very few other vehicles. A herd of disease-free buffalo have been added in recent years to complete the Big Five.
